You no longer have to worry about your facial thread veins. These thin vessels(called telangiectasias) around your nose or on your cheeks are small blood vessels near the surface of the skin, often formed as a result of sun-exposure. They sometimes occur in a more general area of redness.
This treatment involves a laser sending a wavelength to the vessels. These are brief pulses of laser lights which destroy the blood vessels that cause the thread veins, helping to remove them and improve the appearance of your body as a result.
IPL is a non-invasive treatment can be used to remove redness and thread veins on the face, body and legs quickly and effectively. Thread vein removal treatment will remove fine and large thread veins approximately 1-3 mm in size and come with minimal downtime or risk in just a few quick and easy treatments.
Several vessels can be targeted in one flash of light. The treatment time depends on the area to be covered and the number of distinct vessels can be treated. A single session typically lasts 10-20 minutes.
You must refrain from smoking 4 hours prior to your treatment and stop taking anti-inflammatories 7 days before your treatment. Since tanning takes place by accumulation of pigment (melanin) in the skin, it is, however, important to avoid tanning (sun, solarium or self-tanning cream) before and during the treatment period. Otherwise your tanned skin will absorb more light, which makes treatment less effective.
Generally, no post-treatment care is needed. But people with sensitive skin may benefit from using a soothing cream for a few days after treatment. We recommend you limit sun exposure and use a sunscreen (SPF 60) for a few weeks following treatment. After treatment of thread veins on the legs, compression (surgical) stockings should be worn for two weeks.
The number of treatments depends on locatopn and number of your thread veins. Clinical studies have confirmed that 1-3 treatments usually are needed, and these are timed about one month apart.
No anaesthetics are required, and most people describe the sensation as similar to that of a rubber band snapping onto the skin. You may find it comforting to cool the skin after the treatment.
Clinical trials documenting safety and effectiveness were carried out by leading doctors prior to the launch of the treatment, these were published in respected, referenced medical journals. You are welcome to view these scientific papers on the Ellipse website at www.ellipse.com
